PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated: September 2026
Who we are. destiu, LLC, an Arizona limited liability company, operates destiu.com, compass.destiu.com, and the destiu app. Questions: hello@destiu.com.
What we collect. The email address you provide when you subscribe to the Letter, take the Compass, purchase, or create an account. The name you enter at checkout, which we print on the title page of your Guide. Your Compass answers and result. Content you create in the app. Your purchase history. Basic technical information such as device type and log data. Payment details are collected and processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
How we use it. To deliver what you bought, including personalizing your Guide with your name. To send transactional email about your purchases and account. To send the Letter, if you subscribed. To operate, secure, and improve our products. We do not sell your personal information, we do not share it for targeted advertising, and we do not show advertising.
Cookies. Our websites use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember your session, and understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; the site may not work fully without essential cookies.
Who helps us process it. Service providers who handle data on our behalf: Stripe (payments), Shopify (our website), Supabase (accounts and data), Vercel (web hosting), Postmark (delivery of the Letter, and account and purchase email — confirmations, Guide fulfilment with its attachment, activation, refund notices), Klaviyo (marketing email — waitlist, announcements, and similar sends), and Apple (app distribution). Each receives only what it needs to do its job, and each is bound to use it only on our behalf.
Your choices. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. Transactional email about a purchase you made is not marketing and is sent as part of delivering your product.
Your rights. Wherever you live, you can ask us to access, correct, delete, or send you a copy of your personal information, and we will never treat you differently for asking. Write to hello@destiu.com, or delete your account from within the app. We will verify that a request comes from you before acting on it, and we respond within the time applicable law requires. If we cannot fully honor a request, we will tell you why.
What deletion keeps. If you delete your account, we delete the personal information associated with it, with one exception: we retain purchase records and the edition ledger — including the purchaser name and number of a signature edition — for as long as the law requires for legal, accounting, and tax purposes, and for as long as needed to keep our promise that a retired signature number is never resold or reissued.
Retention. We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described here. Purchase and tax records are kept as required by law, generally up to seven years. Everything else is deleted or de-identified when no longer needed.
Security. We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted connections and access controls. No system is perfectly secure; we work to protect your information and will comply with applicable breach-notification law.
Children. Our products are intended for adults and are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13; if we learn we have, we will delete it.
International visitors. destiu operates from the United States, and your information is processed here. If you visit from outside the United States, you send us your information understanding that United States law applies to it.
Changes. The current version of this policy always lives at destiu.com/privacy.

How destiu is made
Every word here passed a human ear before it reached yours. That is the whole method, and the rest of this page is what it means in practice.
We draft with AI; the judgment is ours. Drafts pass through human law before they reach you: ratified word by word, checked against the codex, cleared by an editor’s ear. What the tool makes possible is an editorial brand this considered at this size. What it never gets is the final say.
So the AI drafts, and it drafts well. It also does what no small editorial house could do alone: it holds every ruling ever made, in every line, at once. That is why a brand this considered can exist at this size. We use it the way a workshop uses good tools, openly and on purpose.
And some things never happen. The AI has no persona and never pretends to be a person. What it learns about you, it learns to write to you, never to sell you. And nothing you read here shipped unread: a human cleared every member-facing line, including these.
The laws are the brand. The ear is the editor’s. The words are for you.
